James Melvin Schrader
Passed away on August 25, 2024
James Melvin Schrader, age 61, of Waverly, Ohio, died Sunday August 25, 2024 at the Memorial Hospital in Savannah. He was born March 26, 1963 in Chillicothe, Ohio, a son of Barbara Ann Vickers Schrader of Beaver, Ohio and the late Melvin Schrader. He was united in marriage August 28, 2021 to his husband, Randy Ray Comer Schrader, who survives. Also surviving are his children, Katelyn Schrader, Evan Schrader, Oliver Snow, Logan Moore and Chandler Comer, his grandchildren, Maximus, Hayes, Dexter, Hoyt, Miles, Arthur, Analeigh, and Dylan, three sisters, Debbie Schrader, Pam (Tony) Smith, and Sandy (Mike) Evans, and his very special dog, Sir Winston.
James enjoyed spending his time vacationing and had a love for the beach and cruising. He also had a passion for antiquing. James’ kind and loving personality had a tremendous impact on all those he cared for and loved. Experiencing and living a life of authenticity with his husband brought such happiness and joy to their life. Both were grateful to God for bringing them together.
Visiting hours will be held from 12:00 P.M. – 2:00 P.M. Sunday September 1, 2024 at the Cox Burkitt Funeral Home in Beaver, Ohio. A private graveside services will be held in the Beaver Union Cemetery at a later time with Pastor Brian Hedden officiating.
